heaven gained a new fashion stylist.

This week the gals at Sugar have been deeply saddened by the loss of one of our sweet, precious customers - Mrs. Nancy Hall. She's been a loyal customer at Sugar since we opened our doors in April 2008 and has been a huge supporter of ALL of our Uptown Greenwood businesses. When she wasn't out supporting local Greenwood businesses, she was spending her time convincing others to shop local and support us!

Some days she came in to get the newest fashions we posted on Facebook, yet sometimes she just came in to coordinate styles with our jewelry, or to simply chit chat. Either way, we were always delighted to see her walk through the door. Truly a "sweet treat" to spend time with her.

We can't thank her enough for her support, the time she spent modeling for us at local Women's Club Fashion Shows, and the inspiration she gave us. She shared so many amazing marketing and promotion ideas since that was her expertise. Truly a smart, smart lady with an eye for fashion. She reminded me so much of Rachel Zoe. Always so "put together" and perfectly accessorized. The shoes, the bag, the jewelry, and the colorful, bright and vibrant clothing. Always unique. Never subtle. Turned heads no matter what, so much so that we started calling her "Fancy Nancy!" Her precious granddaughter even made the comment last night that "the angels must have needed help putting outfits together, because heaven has gained a fashion stylist!" Nancy was such a stunning lady and I will never forget her infamous quote she shared with us after gushing over countless compliments she received on her Sugar styles while traveling (her other passion)...

"Why wear it, if you're not going to receive compliments?"

If she wasn't traveling, she made a point to attend all of our events! So sweet!

Oh how we loved this woman. She will certainly be missed, not only here at Sugar, but throughout our local community.

Please join us in keeping the Hall family in prayer during the days ahead.
